The three most important words in a successful survey are: organize, organize and organize. Designate a detail-oriented staff member as your Preparation Coordinator to be responsible to see that all policies, procedures, individuals, space and supplies are available for the surveyors.
Organizations create a multitude of ways to document their processes for CARF. Some use boxes, binders and folders; some divide information by standard, others just provide surveyors with a large group of documents, with little system in evidence.
